Suling is one of the founding members of Riverbed Theatre. She was the lead actress in Riverbed's critically acclaimed performance of Burnt Rice in 1998 and since then has appeared in Riverbed productions including Opening the Red Mountain, Rainbow factory, Gasoline Smiles, Water/Rice, Water Talk, Beautiful Shakespeare, Headless in Los Angeles, The Life and Times of Robert Wilson, and Einstein Rocks Taiwan. She has also performed with Shakespeare's Wild Sisters Group, Oz Theatre, and Chi Body. Suling received her M.A. in Performance Theory from Taipei National University of the Arts.
